Summer in New Hampshire !

Summer in New Hampshire
A summer trip to New Hampshire will provide relaxation, thrill and activities for the whole group. The Lakes and Northern Regions of New Hampshire offer some well-known favorite vacation destinations, but most importantly, some of New Hampshire’s best-kept secrets. So read on and travel through the nooks and crannies of the Granite State, which hosts more than just the nation’s first primary.
The trip begins in the quaint town of Waterville Valley. As Americans seek to reconnect and find ecologically sound destinations this summer, Waterville Valley, a self-contained resort town surrounded by New Hampshire’s White Mountains National Forest will offer an abundance of fun. This resort hosts a variety of events and is a location that encourages the exploration of nature and fosters creativity. This is also the birthplace of the famous monkey, Curious George, who makes frequent visits to town square.
Excitement will arise from the back and front seat on the way towards the Squam Lakes Area, where the famous motion picture “On Golden Pond” was filmed 30 years ago. To celebrate the 30th anniversary, the original author, Ernest Thompson is coming back to direct the play once again at The Little Church Theater. Also, take a boat tour around the lake, visit the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, see how maple syrup is made and simply enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the area.
Next, you will come to Weirs Beach. Weirs Beach is also home to the M/S Mount Washington cruise ship. The Mount offers daytime, scenic, evening dinner and dance and special themed cruises. With a capacity of 1,250 passengers, the Mount serves as the largest restaurant in the entire state.
If you are feeling wild, continue north to the new Cranmore Mountain Adventure Park. The Park offers a full day of outdoor fun where guests of all ages can take in stunning views of the White Mountain National Forest while whizzing down Cranmore’s Mountain Coaster or exploring the Aerial Adventure Park. For those who like to take things a little slower, there is always the scenic Summit Chairlift Ride. The park also features summer tubing, a 9-hole miniature golf course and an 18-hole disk golf course.
Complete your journey riding on the world’s first mountain-climbing Cog Railway train in Bretton Woods. The Mount Washington Cog Railway is the second steepest mountain climbing train in the world and the only one entirely built on a trestle.
