   Registered as a New Jersey historical site, it was nearly 150 years ago that Louis Renault first put down stakes for a vineyard in the sandy soil of the Pine Barrens in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey.  A Master Vintner from Rheims, France, Renault brought his wealth of experience to New Jersey, establishing his own winery that was destined to become the oldest vineyard and one of the oldest continually operating wineries in the nation. 

   Louis Renault could never have envisioned the breathtaking Tuscan-style resort that now graces the heart of the expansive vineyard that is just minutes away from Atlantic City.  Today, historic Renault Winery has evolved from one man’s dream to a world class winery and resort that proudly carries on the Renault tradition of growing select grapes on its more than 1,400 acre vineyard; producing select wines and champagnes under the astute direction and boundless creative energy of owner, Joseph Milza, and his family, who took over the winery in the early 1970s.

   During the course of the past 30 years, three generations of the Milza family have diligently worked together to create the most unique destination resort in New Jersey.  Today, Renault boasts two award-winning restaurants, two grand ballrooms, a prominent Wedding and Event Planning Service, a stunning 50 room boutique hotel,  a scenic championship 18 hole golf course,  guided winery tours, dinner theater, a priceless Antique Wine Glass Museum , a gift shop, (the only place where you can purchase a wide variety of Renault’s exceptional wines and champagnes) and a burgeoning group tour business.

   Joseph’s Restaurant and Bar across the street in the Tuscany House Hotel serves breakfast lunch and dinner daily. Featuring homemade Mediterranean cuisine and specializing in handmade pastas, Joseph’s, the namesake restaurant of Renault’s phenomenal executive chef, Joseph De Gennaro, also offers top notch live music.
